The sample holder is one of the most critical parts of any surface measurement in UHV systems. The more dedicated the sample holder is, the better the measurement results. The results of the whole experiment can sometimes depend on the concept, design, materials and precision of the sample holders.
Our range of UHV sample holders offer the widest possible range of sample heating, sample cooling, and sample electrical conditions to suit every conceivable surface science application. Standard options are available with e.g. integrated quartz balance, resisitive and electron bombardment heating, direct heating, cryo cooling, adaptations for Omicron flag style sample holders etc. The range is continually evolving and expanding and different types of holders can be interchanged in any given UHV system to suit a particular task. Flag Style Holders
Flag Style Holders
Commonly used sample holder for a wide range of applications. Available as a simple bare plate or configurations including; with 4x M2 screws for sample fixing, plate with pedestal or prepared for electron bombardment, resistive or direct current heating. The holder also can be equipped with a thermocouple for accurate sample temperature measurement. Available materials: titanium, molybdenum, copper, tantalum, aluminum.
